I salute everything Mr AL Davis has done for the Raiders, the NFL, and sports in general. He is a great man and stood up for what he believed. He made my team what I loved about it and I will forever cherish his existence.

Thank you Mr Al Davis!!!!

I'm speechless.....here's to one of the greatest football minds ever and a cornerstone of the game of football. The NFL will forever be etched with his vision.

In his own words, "Just win, baby."

Been away for a while, but had to come back today for this.

Big Al, the Godfather--Mr. Davis, we miss you already.

Rest in peace, brother.

RIP Al Davis. The NFL would not be where it is without your vision. The Raiders would never have reached such highs and lows. You were the one NFL owner who loved the game more than the money. Raider Nation mourns your loss and the NFL has lost a huge part of its history.

God Bless Al Davis and his Oakland Raiders.

Rest in peace Mr.Davis. I really sad about this as I'm sure a many many people are. It's just had to believe he's not here anymore after all these years.

Mr Al Davis, a TRUE legend in his own time.  One of those most rare people who had the temerity, and plain guts, to live his life the way HE saw fit.  A true inspiration to all, regardless of what we thought of some of his decisions.  Thank you for creating the team and the image we love, sir.  R.I.P.

Wow...just WOW.

I did not expect this to happen so soon. I figured he'd be around into his nineties.

Rest in peace Al.
