Folks, our team's leader has passed away.  The news has brought tears to my eyes.  RIP Al, the Nation will miss you!!

You know as much as I bad mouth the fella about his decisions , I really respect him and what he has done. Now I feel like Oakland is lost man, wtf we gonna do . I really didnt think I be affected this way, didnt know him personally , but I feel sad...............

i didnt think I would ever see this day. It's hard to imagine a Raiders without Mr. Davis... RIP

I lose al Davis and steve jobs this week. I'm just in shock as this cant be happening....

Now what? Mark take over? Will he sell the team? We just became the favorites to head back to LA now :(

RIP MR Davis.  Visionary before his time.  The NFL IS what it is now in great part because of his vision and persistence.  Did not always agree with some decisions but it feels as if a part of my Raiders side has left with him. Really hard to swallow right now.

that's sad to hear.  i've been as critical of him as anyone recently, but he accomplished more than most will in a lifetime and he's left a great legacy.

RIP Mr. Davis.
