Oakland A's  ;D
Plus Yanks are chokers who got 500x a bigger pay roll and still losing to the Rays in the AL East

You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Over the last two years the Yanks have played .638 ball after the break, by far the best in the majors. Choke on that.

Playoffs are what count
8 years without a title with that payroll

The New York Yankees have found a replacement for Jorge Posada.

New York acquired catcher Ivan Rodriguez from the Tigers on Wednesday for right-handed pitcher Kyle Farnsworth.

PUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

guess it works for both team..Pudge aint even close to what he used to be and is a free swinger but is a definitely an upgrade to what the Yanks had..we get some needed bullpen help to try and make a run, although its gonna be real tough

As much as I hate Farnsworth, I have to say the last few weeks he has been pitching the best he has in 3 years with the Yanks.  That said, I'm glad to see him go.  We had a void at catcher, so what do we do? We go out and get one of the top 3 catchers to ever play the game. Not bad.

p.s. Mich, good luck catching the Twins and Sox. We got our hands full catching the Rays and Sox.

It looks like this year's deadline deals will be a plenty. Sabathia, Harden, Blanton, Pudge, Nady, Marte, Texiera all dealt before the deadline. Now it's looking like Griffey to the Reds, Manny might get dealt, Washburn will probably end up with the Yanks too, Houston Street probably gone, and Jason Bay to either the Red Sox or Rays.  That's a lot of big name players switching addresses at the deadline!

Griffey to the White Sox

Fox Sports is reporting that Ken Griffey Jr. has accepted a trade to the Chicago White Sox for two minor leaguers.

Note:  The linked story has not been updated with the details of the deal as of this time, but ESPN has reported the details on SportsCenter.

This should make the Dodgers the favorites in the mediocre NL West.

No Washburn for Yankees. Hope Hughes can come back strong and maybe Wang can come back for the stretch run.

How about dem Angels getting Mark Teixeira?  Sure we had to give up Casey Kotchman, who was a very hard working player for us his whole time here, but getting a HR hitter to compliment Vladimir Guerrero was a huge prioritiy for the Angels for a long time now.

With Teix in the fold now, it should really pump up our offense and help get us over the hump in October.

The BoSox got weaker IMO maybe Bay will be a good asset but Manny was a big part of their past success. The ChiSox are loading up their offense but the Angels right now are the team to beat. Dont yet believe the Rays are for real have to see them in the post season first.

During the Angels-Yankees game last night, I saw something that has been goin on for a while with the team & needs to stop if they want to score more runs

When the bases were loaded, Chone Figgins swung on a hitters' count pitch when he should've acknowledged that Ponson had thrown more balls than strikes during that at-bat. Maicer Izturis didn't help that cause either by not containing his swing.

The moral of the story is that if you're up to bat and the pitcher is having control problems at the time, let him have his control problems and take the walk.
