Well, not a fan of any movie by marvel, however I went and watched Dark Knight on Sunday. It was pretty good, Ledger was great, I would have liked more action...

I give it 7/10

On the imdb.com, I dont see how this movie got a 9.5/10 and is currently #1 all time.

It'll level off after all the fanboys are through voting.

But it will probably remain in the top 5 for awhile.

I'll be watching The Dark Knight this week in IMAX, kind of early to jump the gun here but I'm gonna say as good as Ledger is said to be in this movie, there is only still one legendary Joker, Jack Nicholson. "Ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight."

There are a few homage moments to good ol Jack!

I will not compare the two, although when Jack was the Joker everyone said no one else could ever be the Joker after that, clearly they were mistaken, exhibited by Ledger's Oscar worthy performance.

There will be someone equally as "Jokery" to once again don the paint.....that is the circle of life!

Actually Batman is DC comics not marvel.

which might be a reason why it was so good.

My buddy more or less said the same thing. Two very different takes on the Joker by both actors, but both very good.

Anyone else think the Joker looked a lot like Brandon Lee's character in The Crow?

Thats what I told people at work. I think Heath Ledger looked at the way Brandon Lee portrayed the Crow & realized that it would work for the Joker. Even the type of psychotic humor was similar. Ledger definatly evolved the character though.

With the wife in school we haven't gone to as many summer movies as we usually do, but the ones we have made it to have been outstanding:

Iron Man - Best Marvel adaptation to date. They nailed Tony Stark.

Remeber the Zohan - Sandler's best comedy since Happy Gilmore. Both the wife and I laughed throughout. If you liked the stupid comedy of Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, this one is for you.

Batman - This one blew me away. Went with my brother this weekend, and may go see it again in IMAX, I never see a movie twice in the theater, but this one is good enough to see again.

Just saw the Americanized remake of "Funny Games".

This movie was a grueling, life-sucking ordeal - and I mean that in a good way.

So straightforwardly brutal, it makes "Hostel" look like "Amelie".

"Disturbing" doesn't even begin to cover it.
