Spoke too soon?

You think Flacco gets away from that pass rush all day?  Not a chance...

Gotta give some credit to that Chargers defense, sneakily one of the best in the league...

Chargers are just good... They win this with or without Flacco...

No I don't think Flacco would win, but at least he could try to go down field. Jackson was horrible, is accuracy is inexcusable. If he doesn't progress as a passer he's not gonna be a QB in this league for long

He's a gamer, and a hell of an athlete...

The league is no longer revolved around the "pocket passer"... Those days are over, the QBs of the future are playmakers... period... IMO...

You do realize who's "downfield" on that Chargers defense, right? One of the top 2-3 CBs in the league, a Def ROY worthy Safety, even the other safety is among the best in the league...  One of the best secondaries in the league, with solid players underneath like Bosa, Ingram, etc...

Are you seriously defending that shit. He fucking made Tim tebow look like a hall of famer. That was one of the worst QB performances in the history of football. If the chargers hadn't gone in to prevent he wouldn't have had 100 yards.

Sure, the pocket passer is dead, thats why guys that can accurately deliver the ball from the pocket keep winning super bowls

Yea, because they win them all by themselves... you're right...

Sorry, I caught your comment in the 2nd half, after him leading them toi back to back scoring drives and putting them back in a position to win...

For a rookie QB, 1st playoff starts, vs a pretty damn good defense... who didn't even start getting REAL PRACTICE REPS until week 8... He did a pretty good job... Started out slow, but like I said, he's a gamer... and didn't fold... and almost brought them back...

He actually had more yards than Rivers... and TDs... and had a crazy amount of drops... But he sucks in your eyes... got it... lol... Raider 8 thinks Lamar Jackson sucks... Guess we'll revisit this later...

Kind of like how you said Crabtree sucked and Eric Decker was better, huh?  Oh wait... Crabtree just had 2 TDs tonite... what did Decker do?

Worst in the history of football... LMAO...

And I said those days are over... Look at the ages of those Super Bowl winning QBs you speak of, every one of them is 1-2 years from retired.. Now look at the makeup of playoff QBs right now... Trubisky, Mahomes, Wentz, Luck, Wilson, Prescott. etc... all athletes... not JUST "pocket passers"... those are QBs of the future... Which is what I said...

Kordell Stewart, Mike Vick, Kap, RG3, Lamar Jackson. All athletes. Tebow. On and on. And if a QB can't throw accurately from the pocket, they're not gonna be very good. If they have other attributes that's even better, like Russell Wilson. But a QB in this league has to be able to throw accurately from the pocket.

Jackson couldn't do that today, not by a long shot. He's needs to put in the work to get better throwing the ball from the pocket. He can get better if he works at it.

But there's no way around it today, that was awful QB play. He threw a couple balls that weren't within 5 yards of a receiver.

I hear ya... My only point was that he's rookie, in his first playoff game, against a pretty damn good defense that he just played 2 weeks ago...  You're making is sound like he sucks because he had an average game...

Guess what, Derek Carr is a "pocket passer"  and had a LOT of games worst than that these past 2 years...

As for the future comment, I'm just saying... Once those QBs you mentioned, retire... It's a wrap, the guard is changing to these hybrid QBs we now see... You're going to have to be able to pass and run (or elude very well)... These DEs/DTs are getting quicker and faster every year... Look at the young DEs of this era, a lot smaller and FASTER than those from 7-10 years ago, when those QBs were in their primes...

Going through your reads and then scrambling is one thing. A runner QB isn't going to work in this league.

Jackson has shown on many occasions that he can go through reads and throw the ball accurately...  And he has a quick clock, being that he's a "runner"...  His OC, play calling and OL didn't help him much today either...

One bad game, against a top tier defense and secondary isn't one to hang his entire career on...

Gruden needs to call the bears and tell them we have a kicker who's available for trade. We'll take Mack or Roquon Smith in exchange.

Sean McVey is a smart dude, I don't believe in his coaching tree, leflour, Kingsbury, Taylor, but he himself is smart.

He makes the other team work every play, and he has his team ready for that. Fake, fake punts.

Cooper finally started acting like a man today.  To bad it took so long.

I can't wait to see what Dallas pays to keep him.

He's not worth top money.

My prediction. They pay him and he produces exactly like he did in Oakland.  Big plays and games 10% of the time.   Plays through injuries but not up to expectations and in the end doesn't ever take over a game or season.
