L-R My bro and co-worker Sonny (fellow Raider Nation die hard), Coach, Me

Coach Tarver was visiting Yokosuka Naval Base today so I got an opportunity to say hello and get a pic with him.  What a cool dude, incredibly personable and friendly.  I can see where he gets the nickname, just really intense and passionate when he talks football.  He's really excited about the D this year.  Really stressing the importance of accountability and knowing where to be.  He says Nick Roach is a beast and one of the smartest football guys he's ever met.  He says he's never worked with anyone who committed so few mental errors so early in camp.  Definitely the leader of the defense.  He assured everyone that we will get to the QB and apply pressure.  He says Houston should have a great season and Andre Carter still has enough gas in the tank to be a presence as well as mentoring the younger guys.

I told him I'd be at the SD game in October and he gave me his email and he said he'd set up something to get me on the field before the game and meet some of the team, freakin' awsome!

Great day!!!  jiggy1 jiggy2

That is pretty damn cool, SoCal!  Also great to hear the "D general" talk so high about Roach, also.  Ya think we may see some overall Defensive improvement with a smart LB in the middle/inside instead of Slolando?? (sarcasm)  Outstanding.

Dude that's awesome. It must be amazing listening to a current coach speak openly about a roster.

I'm excited to see what Roach can do this year. He played behind some great linebackers in Chicago and now is his time to shine.
