I'm going to give the guy a chance to fail here before I call him a loser.

There sure are a lot of scouts/g.m.s on this site   :-\

Why is it you people always go to the extreme....no one has called him a loser or said they would not support or hope for the best.  Speaking for myself, I question the pick soley on his past endevors and also question yet another change in scheme.  Our record over the last 10 years proves a total lack of consistancy.

Exactly. I'm still hopeful that he'll be successful, but you have to wonder about our second rehash in a row - with an arguably worse resume than Knapp. Was a fresh face too much to ask? It's hard to get excited about a three-time chump from historically lousy teams.

If it's true that we are switching to a power-blocking scheme as well, then I seriously question whether or not RM and Allen know what they're doing. I thught they would fire Knapp (justified) and then get another ZBS guy. But Tibs was right and it looks like we're starting all over AGAIN on offense.

From what it sounds like he adjusts his gameplan based on his personel. I bet well see a lot of mixed zone and power. More heavy on the power, like what we all wanted knapp to do but he just didn't want to adjust for some reason.

Pretty much the same as what I was logging on to say.
I question if RM and Allen are both in over their heads and do they really know what they are doing.
Olson has been a annual loser and another ZBS coach.

Rule of thumb in any sport you don't hire a guy from another basement franchise unless he is the next break out talent. Olson is certainly not the latter.
What a bum hiring by RM and Allen.
All the more reason to distrust them even more.

Only bright side is they finally got off their ass and hired an OC. Nothing more than a warm body hiring to me.

Madden counts, right?  ;)

Anyway, it doesn't take a coach, GM, scout, or rocket scientist to look at this guys resume and learn he might not be more qualified then the last guy we hired.

Never had an offense ranked above 20th. Ever.

The simple hiring of Knapp last year (with Al Saunders still in the building) was all the evidence I needed that offensively, these guys don't know shit... and then, just like last year, they pass on Saunders and hire another nobody who has never done shit...

Not only is the guy's resume some pure shit...  We are once again playing coaching roulette...  Whats this?  6 years 5 offensive systems?

Not gonna lie I was unimpressed.  But that being said I went straight to panic mode last year when they hired knapp. I'm not their now.  I'm in wait and see mode.  Who knows man???  Expect the worst hope for the best.

Trolling around and found this. It was from when GO was with TB and did an interview. It gives us a look see on how the guy operates.

Good read.  Doesn't sound half as crazy as he looks.  But crazy looking coaches have done well here before.   Sounds like an intelligent guy. I hope his offense is dynamic as he claims it is.

That's what I thought.  He's 70 years old or something like that.  He can always do less strenuous jobs for the organization if that's the life he prefers.  I hope he does.
