“As a young guy, I had a dream that someday I would build the finest organization in professional sports, I had a lot of thoughts on how I would do it. I had the inspiration of two great organizations when I was growing up. The Yankees to me personified the size of the players, power, the home run, and intimidation and fear. The Dodgers, under Branch Rickey, were totally different in my mind. They represented speed. They represented development of players, a way of playing the game, the Dodger way of playing the game. And I always thought that someone intelligent could take all the qualities, the great qualities of both, and put them together and use them.”

Burbon , scotch, or whiskey?
im a beer drinker but if i partaked in hard liquor it would have to be Burbon all the way, just love a good burbon bal aged stout with all the bugs, vanilla, and leathery burbon and rye influence. and since im a beer snob it would have to be pappy all the way.
drinking a Great divide Claymore Scotch ale tonight. malty deep caramel sweetness with peat moss, and a burbon touch of alcohol at 7.7%

Goose Island - Sofia.
wow a belgian style 80% blended with another 20% aged. Sour musky lemony flavor and barnyard funk from the brett gives this a kick in the taste buds. Fans of belgians will love this, clean, crisp and funky. A rated beer.

Goose island - matilda.
spicy orange, bread, grapefruit and spicy bite of citrus. Underlying toast grains, musky barnyard yeastiness with a touch of wet hay and lemon. Prefer sofia, much more crisp with cleaner crisper begian grain palate.

YES!!!!!!! FINALLY. been waiting 6 months for the US release of this and years before to get my hands on this beer. some may balk at the $84 six pack price (you do get 2 glasses as well) but this will sell out in seconds and be priced much higher by hoarders. buying a single bottle overseas runs upwards 50-60$ with shipping being the main culprit of price. would be a nice xmas present. had the 8 but never the 12.
UPDATE: Still piecing details together but Best Damn Beer Shop (BP supporter) just posted that Westvleteren XII will be allocated to them which means that the beer will not be exclusive to Total Wine & More in California. BDBS says that XII will arrive at the shop on 12/12.
Total Wine & More just posted up a brief blog entry regarding the release of Westvleteren XII following BeerPulse’s Monday report. TW&M writes:
All proceeds from the sale of this beer are going to the Abbey. Our store locations in Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Arizona, California and Nevada will have Westvleteren XII available for sale in a 6 pack with 2 glasses for $84.99.

Dogfish head -world wide stout 18%avb
Incredible. That's 5 of your BMC drinks. Imagine a shot of whiskey in cold coffee with roasted bitter chocolate licorice and sweet dark fruit. A perfect fulfilling drink after thanksgiving dinner. $9 for 12oz bottle and well worth it. Scooped up a six pack of this last year when heard it will go on hiatus for year.

Allagash - cofluence.
Funky barnyard hints from brett with spicy Kent hops and a grainy pilsner backbone. Clean and crisp.
