(P.S. - Hopefully now some of you see how that Chiefs game was actually "bigger" than this game)

I don't think there is anyone here who thought this game was bigger than the chiefs game

Oh there were a few... I read quite a few comments about this being the biggest game since 2001, the year, etc...

Sidenote:  Carr has played "well enough" against the Donks since he's been here...  It's the Chiefs he sucks against...

Technically... they're right. It was the biggest game of the year. With our current positioning, next week is the biggest game of the year, so is the following, and every week after that.

Well then you're proving my point in all my pre-game posts... This is just another game, and that the biggest game is the one coming up... and that this one was no more special than any of the others...

And "current positioning" still has the Chiefs game being "biggest of the year"...

Chiefs are our Nemesis... not the Broncos... and it's been that way for almost a decade... Although the Broncos have controlled the division for the majority of that time, we've never had the chance to knock on their door, because the Chiefs were standing on the porch... and we couldn't get past them...

We are 1-0 vs the Chargers and Donkeys... meaning we have the advantage of a tie-breaker if we lose to them round 2...

We are 0-1 vs the Chiefs, which as soon as the standings even out, puts us behind them... although I'm not so sure that KC beats Carolina next week... especially on the road... with or without Alex Smith...

But I do believe we have the "easier" schedule... moving ahead... I really don't think the Broncos can beat us... with or without Talib/Webster... they can't consistently score on us... and we proved we can run at will, and didn't even have to throw the ball... we are truly the better team in that matchup...

So again... It's KC... everything revolves around KC...

This is your opinion. Idk why you have to make everyone feel like their opinion is wrong and yours is right. Last nights game was huge for alot of us.  Maybe not for you, and you'll blabber on and on about it but i really could not give a shit.

This was the biggest game for the Raiders in over a decade plus.  We have shown that we were up and coming and last night was the first opportunity to show the world just how far we've come. It was a very important game to win to officially tell everyone "The Raiders are fuckin back!" .

We all knew going into last night there was a chance where we would show up in primetime and shit the bed on national TV. We've experienced it countless times, straight up embarrassing us once again. So dont tell me or anyone else who thinks this was the biggest game we've had in a very long time that it wasn't.

If you think KC was a bigger game, whoopdee fuckin doo. I dont care. That's your opinion. You can explain yourself into oblivion and it's not going to make much of a difference. Im not going to tell you youre wrong for thinking it. Dont tell someone else they are wrong for theirs.

Get rid of Derrick Carr.    Roll Eyes

I have a strange suspicion this is Carrs fault.
4  Raiders Discussions / Raider Gridiron / Re: Raiders get their asses kicked by the chiefs again thread on: October 17, 2016, 08:17:19 PM
Well it was a rough outing.  After reading all this shit I guess I'm just not going to roll with the "we know defense sucks so let's just put the rest of the season on Carr's shoulders".  Yes he had a bad outing, that's one bad outing in six games as opposed to the defense being 6 for 6.  Even if we made the playoffs it would be one and done with this D, it's historically bad.  KNJ said he was going to simplify the D Tarver had installed and I think he's simplified it to the point that an OC in a coma could shred it.  It's not a lack of talent, I'm to the point now where I think KNJ is in way over his head, JDR admitted as much when he said "we got out coached".  I guess we're committed to this shit at this point, but I look back on what previous DCs had to work with and it was nowhere near this bad, less talent, better results so in my mind that's on the DC.  If there is anyone else remotely qualified I'd say bring them in now, not like shit can get any worse!

You're wrong too... our D has nothing to do with this. It's Carrs fault.  Wink

I'm with the camp that wants KNJ fired. Pull a Rex Ryan. Look at Buffalo since Rex let his O Cord go.

I agree with V that Having Edwards out hurts. But we look to have a firing young group on D? I'm of the camp that KNJ's defensive scheme is weak. KNJ needs to watch how Wade utilizes Von Miller.

Let KNJ go and Del Rio take over the D.

Just my thought:)

No, you're wrong, the D is fine. Its Carrs fault.  Cheesy

We are the worst Defense in the league (32nd)  We have a HC who was a defensive guru and KNJ who was suppose to be an up and coming guru, we have a lot of big D talent .... and we still have the worst D in the league?  Hell you had Mack covering a WR on a wheel route.... wtf is that?

Don't forget that JDR was a MLB and a DC for some pretty good teams. He knows defense. And he and Reggie brought in players to built to play his style.

He's got the 2nd best defensive weapon on the planet and he's been a non factor in all but one game this season.

Now THAT's just dumb...  Just because Mack doesn't have sacks, doesn't mean he's a non-factor.... Smh...

In fact, I believe all the recent articles to date show just how much he IS a factor, DESPITE the facts...

And whether ya'll like it or not, this was the 2nd best defensive performance we've had all year, numbers wise... just didn't have a turnover...

We only gave up 26 points... it was just ugly(ER) because the OFFENSE didn't do a mother fucking thing for 56.5 minutes...

ahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaahahhahahahaahhahaah. Thats a stork level dumb shit comment if Ive ever heard one.
7  Raiders Discussions / Raider Gridiron / Re: Raiders get their asses kicked by the chiefs again thread on: October 16, 2016, 07:43:59 PM
I never said Carr was the REASON we loss, but he definitely did suck today...  (Like he ALWAYS DOES when we play the Chiefs, am I lying)...  and for us, it truly does start with the QB... because that's all we HAVE...

We all know our defense sucks...  So it's up to the offense to put up points and keep us in the game...

They failed to do that... literally walked right down the field on the first drive and scored... and did absolutely NOTHING afterwards... LITERALLY... NOTHING for 60 minutes minus however long the first drive was...

I believe Cooper had like 2 catches in the 2nd half... with their replacement CB on him the whole 2nd half... who's fault is that?  Musgrave or the guys with all the "freedom" to check out of plays...  WHo gives a shit, they both fucked up...

So ya'll can't hate me for putting it on Carr all you want, I don't give a shit, lol... I don't care how many 4th quarter comebacks you make, if you can't do it in CRUCIAL circumstances like this (to take sole possession of 1st place and put OUR team in the driver seat) what good is it...

Yes the defense played like shit... News Flash... What else is new?  The difference has been our offense scoring points... And who's mostly responsible for putting up points?  OUR Quarterback...  So when we don't put up points AND you have 2 costly turnovers... Yes, dammit...  I WILL hold you accountable... period...

Meanwhile bum ass Alex Smith looks like 2002 Rich Gannon on us... smdh...

Yeah, you did.

It all starts with the QB... when he plays like shit, we lose every time... Fact...

I'd say that's the definition of saying it's the reason we lost.

Carr has been a one man wrecking crew in our wins, except that in those wins, he's had time to make plays, his receivers have made plays and the defense was able to make just enough plays to seal the deal. He played great, but he also had some help.

Carr has to play better than today (which I believe anyone would say), but I think the team needs to concentrate on getting the defense (and special teams) up to his level instead of hoping he can continue to keep putting together super human efforts.

Give the man some help and we're a playoff team. Keep asking him to do it all himself and we'll fall just short.

You don't get it, but that's ok... I would never expect you to, based on prior discussions...

Your only focus is to try to "debunk" me instead of actually paying attention... and seeing the common logic in what I'm saying...

You basically said it yourself bro...  In the 4 wins we have, he was the major factor... right?

And I'm saying, the only way we win (so far this year) is when HE plays lights out... correct?

We scored 10 points, and he played like shit...

Get it?

I get what you're saying. But that doesn't mean it's not stupid.

You've pretty much decided that the defense is a lost cause and that if Carr doesn't put up 300 yards, 4 TD's and no INT's we might as well not show up.

Normally, guys with football knowledge would discuss what the defense could do to help their QB. Or ways the offense could take advantage of their opponent's weaknesses.

But I guess that it's easier to just show up on Sunday and lay it all on the QB.

Good point... but you probably just dont get it. lol

Our Defense is so garbage. I honestly dont even know how to explain why its so bad. not a single clue... But its god awful....Its so god damn frustrating. We wont make the playoffs and dont deserve to if we continue to play such piss poor defense..

Our offense was crap too but we shouldnt be relying on our offense to put up the production they have every single god damn week just to win by 1 fucking point.

Fuck im so frustrated watching every fucking QB in the league just light us up and find an open receiver every fucking 3rd down. And then they dont even have to do that because they can just run the fucking ball whenever they god damn well want to and just rack up yards...

The whole fucking defense, the players, coaches can all go fuck themselves..

It's game day!!! Let's do this!!

Hell yeah! Can't wait!

Hope this is Carr's breakout game with 400 yards and 5 TDs!

There is currently a huge storm going over Oaktown right now as we speak.. I see a lot of Jalen and DeAndre this afternoon

Yep. Also, take the under!

Carr checked into the 4 and 2 call to crabtree. Musgraves called quick slants.

Another ugly win I will take everyday of the week. We were always close in alot of the loses we had last year. this year we learned how to win those close games. That will eventually lead to us to start winning big time. Trust the process.

Defense was very up and down. Our secondary has to get better. Reggie Nelson is starting to be a liability out there, where is Nate Allen? DJ Hayden didnt have a bad game again. That's two in a row for him. Finally starting to turn it around, or is it because he's usually playing the 3rd best WR in the slot?  Either way, good for him! Hope he continues to get better.

Line was shakey today wasnt it? But our whole offense was soooo off in the first half. Carr was off, crabtree was off, the line was off. It was just a slow start which having the turnovers from SD really gave us the time to get straightened out..

Overall, great win. Tied for first in the west and on to the chiefs. It's amazing that we are 4-1 and havnt played out best football yet. We will have a blowout win soon, trust me on that!

Lol lets calm down now. Dude had one good game that I give him credit for. The first 3 he was still pretty garbage. Truth is, he's still a failure and always will be to most raider fans since he was brought in to be a starting CB not a nickle corner.

Same with Robert Gallery, even though he ended up being a decent guard, he was drafted to be a franchise Tackle.

Until he lives up to what was expected of him, he will always be a BUST. No matter how many pages you want to write otherwise.. BUST

"According to analytics site Pro Football Focus, Hayden has allowed less than 30 yards passing in three of this season’s first four games. Gains are short because his tackling’s been strong."

Like I said, the numbers say otherwise...

DJ didn't draft himself in the 1st round... RM did...

And what you guys keep overlooking... If we didn't land Smith, Hayden would be a starting CB...  #1 or #2 doesn't matter... he would have started...

Exactly, if DJ Hayden wasnt trash we wouldnt need to spend big money on Smith to replace him... I wonder where that money could have gone instead...

This feels like a Trap Game. It's scary, but if we are truly are turning the ship, we will come out and destroy this team instead of coming out flat and terrible like the same ol Raider way.

Excited to see what the Washington/Richard combo can do for an entire game.

Fucking Musgrave is driving me crazy.. We need to open the O all fucking game!!

Not when we are down or close! SMFH

This dude is something else!!

I almost lost my shit on that sweep play on a 3rd and 1!

Really???

Oh man I was pretty mad at that sweep play too. But im like 80% sure Carr checked into that play so if thats true, its kinda on him.

But I agree, he calls it very conservative until he has to open it open when I think he should try the opposite.

A big part of why we won this game was Marquette with those beautiful punts early in the game that pinned Bmore back inside the 20... This guy deserves a TON of credit for this win.
